BALTIMORE COMIC-CON 2005
Baltimore ComiCon

This is a shot of the DC Comics Booth - They weren't reviewing
any portfolios at the Con and I never heard anything back from
them... So either they never got my handout, or they think I suck.
Howard Chaykin / Baltimore ComiCon

Mr. Chaykin was kind enough to look over my handout at the
convention and give me some honest feedback and some very
useful advice.
Frank Cho / Baltimore ComiCon

Ladies & Gentlemen... Monkey Boy himself!

That's right - you may have seen his work on titles
such as Liberty Meadows and Shanna The She-Devil

Very nice guy, very professional, very polite and was
also kind enough to go over my handout and provide
some positive feedback.

(From L to R) Howard Chaykin, Frank Cho, Adam
Hughes and Matt Wagner during a Cover Panel I
attended at the convention... for some reason I got the
distinct impression these guys don't like having Editors
telling them what to draw or how to draw it.

Although with talents like these I can't imagine why
anyone would -

Also at the panel but not pictured here were J.G Jones
and Phil Noto.

Dan Brevoort, Robert Kirkman & Mike
Oeming (from L to R) at the Marvel Comics
Panel. Originally I didn't know who Kirkman
was but I've been assimilated since then.

I figured out who Dan Brevoort was after the
fact and I met Oeming during the Con - also
a very nice guy who  looked over my handout
and  provided some great feedback...
Here's a nice touristy shot of
ORIOLE PARK at Camden Yards, just a few
minutes away from the convention center...

The funny thing was that at the time my son's
little league team was the Orioles.
Here I am at what very quickly became
my favorite restaurant in Baltimore -
CAPITOL CITY overlooking the Inner
Harbor throwing back a couple of cold
ones.

Capitol Kolsch

A German style golden ale that takes its
name from the city of Cologne. This light
bodied brew has a clean taste with fruit
notes and a restrained hop dryness. It's
brewed with 10% wheat malt as
tradition dictates.

This will be one of my first stops when I
go to the Con again in 2006!
